The original video, directed by Wayne Isham, stars with a vignette showing each band member getting a phone call and saying, “I’m on my way.” The guy handing them the phone in each scene is Michael Berryman, who played the principal in Mötley Crüe’s “Smokin’ In The Boy’s Room” video (which Isham also worked on). Berryman can also be seen in the movies One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest and The Hills Have Eyes.
The piano intro plays over a clip of a tour bus driving by at sunset. The rest of the video shows the band pre-concert and performing on stage, shot at The Summit in Houston, Texas (concert footage) and Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas (exterior). The end of the video shows the same tour bus with the words “Rockin ‘N’ Rollin” on the marquee. The video topped the MTV daily request chart for over three months, until MTV invoked the (unwritten) “Crue Rule”, dropping videos from their request line 30 days after their MTV premiere.
Concert performances and backstage recordings show the band’s tireless work ethic and dedication to their fans – a side of the Crue rarely shown to the public.
